A Senryu, Fight

Fight
Workingmen heroes
intellectual fodder
pub brawl over sports.

A Senryu, Stay

Stay
Edge of a couple
he's ready to leave for good
manipulate now.

A Poem, Albino Squirrels

Albino Squirrels
Art students
jabber conversation
Caribbean vacation
mural for peace
“What are you going as for Halloween?”

Where are you going
spinning ideology
lost on dogma
unable to create narrative
meandering politics
lost in a cocktail lounge
converted to a coffee shop

squirrels without colour.

A Poem, Micah

Micah
I walked in a mountain
and it did not move
under my feet.

Dry olives gave no oil,
juiceless grapes were stamped needlessly,
harvesting grainless wheat.

An age of science
told me to be lonely
and I sang no more.

Yakking blabbermouths
passed cold wisdom
into sardonic ears,

and a coiled rattlesnake
warned of her venom,
as I marched aimlessly

and arrogantly
by the rock she
sunned herself on.

I desired keep
the sun, as
night hastened.

A Quote, Robert Frost

"Some may know what they seek in school and church,
And why they seek it there; for what I search
I must go measuring stone walls, perch on perch;"
