A Poem, Vanity

Vanity
the fat girl needed
the cute guy to like
her body because
the other fat person
made her sick,
so she lost weight.

A Short Thought

the rhythm rolls with
the gusto of a prize fighter.

A Poem, Madames

Madames

They are angry
because things are
changing, though things
have always changed,
but now things
are coloured like
skin and eyes,
and the crusades
are over, though
they never fought,
rather staying home
to watch their
husbands’ back and
their children’s heights
increase, and they
are angry because
things are changing,
and they are
too weak to
do much except
encourage fear of
things that change.

A Poem, Luddism

Luddism
Enoch Taylor made a
hammer, so an angry
poor could say a word.

A quote, Shakespeare

"...and melancholy is the nurse of frenzy."
- Taming of the Shrew, Introduction, 132.
